Focus on Education
Helping children succeed
Every person deserves to be
exposed to ideals that will have an impact on their lives and make
them well-rounded, contributing members of society. Teachers who pass
on a character focus to their students can make a lasting difference
in the students’ lives, much as they would by instilling a love of
literature or an appreciation for art. A focus on good character
contributes to a more effective education and greater fulfillment for
teachers and students.
At the Idaho Character
Council, we know that helping our youth understand and implement
character qualities at an early age is critical to them becoming
productive members of our community. That's why we're bringing
resources to schools throughout the Idaho area.
Educators agree that
character training is needed in school curricula. Schools already
involved in a systematic approach to teaching character could have the
"Character Quality of the Month" as a supplement. Schools not
currently using a program have the option of easy integration of the
Character First!® curriculum into day-to-day school life.
